AI that watches the forest while no one is looking.

M-Situ is a solar-powered network of AI sensors that listens and watches for deforestation, wildfire and illegal charcoal burning, and alerts rangers in real time, before a problem becomes a catastrophe.

The problem

By the time anyone notices, the trees are gone.

Forests are vast and rangers are few. Illegal logging, charcoal burning and wildfires usually go undetected until satellite imagery catches them days later, long after the damage is done and the culprits have moved on.

Detection needs to happen on the ground, in the moment, where the chainsaw actually starts.

How it works

Eyes and ears in the canopy.

01

Sense

Solar sensors in the canopy capture sound and environmental signals around the clock.

02

Detect

On-device AI recognises chainsaws, fire and other threats, no constant connection needed.

03

Alert

A confirmed threat triggers an instant alert to rangers with a location.

04

Respond

Teams reach the site while it still matters, and the data builds a record over time.

“You can't protect what you can't see. M-Situ gives a ranger the one thing they never had enough of, time to respond.”
